As of April 1, 2004 the Community Thrift Store opened at its NEW LOCATION – BIGGER, BETTER (almost 15k square feet), more selections, more parking!!! The new location is on Samaritan Drive – just off Highway 53 near the Health Department.

Mission:
"Our mission is to serve the members of our community who find themselves in need of essential goods and basic human and life-enhancing services."

Purpose:
1.) To accept donations of clothing, household items, and furniture, etc.
2.) To sell to the public at a greatly reduced price or give to those who qualify.

Profits:
All revenue from the sale of merchandise that is in excess of expenses will be used in the community to support programs that help community members.

Anyone is welcome to drop by and take a look at great bargains, or make a donation of reusable items.

Hours of Operations:
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday through Saturday
Closed Sunday and Monday

Donation:
Donations of reusable items are accepted during normal store hours. To help in the Community Thrift Store, call the store at 706-253-7770.

Directions:
From downtown Jasper, go east on Highway 53 just past the old hospital and just before Dairy Queen. Samaritan Drive is on the right – turn right onto Samaritan Drive and go to the top of the hill. The new Thrift Store is on the right.



Through your generosity and support, the Thrift Store;

Is run by approximately 150 different volunteers each month.
Processes hundreds of tons of clothes, household items, furniture, and several vehicles.
Provides essential items to many local needy individuals/families.
Provides over 120 tons of clothing each year for shipping to third world countries.

Over $600,000 has been given away to community agencies and organizations either through the Quarterly Grant process or as a donation.
